This photo represents a welcome to Vancouver.
One can appreciate all the best spots in False Creek and Stanley Park from
this point.

(and well of course it inspired the winning 2010 Vancouver
Olympic logo)

It is a low quality photo taken with a cell phone which is the only camera I had at the time.

It was taken on April 22, 2007 on the 12th hole of the Peace Portal golf course which is where I recorded my first hole in one! By my estimate I have played about 500 rounds of golf in my life. In that time I have witnessed just two holes in one let alone have one myself. So you can imagine that it was fun but surreal for me when I watched the ball go into the hole. The hole is 180 yards so it was hard to be sure from that distance whether it had gone in or not.

This photo was taken of my husband and his best friend, his cousin Andy, doing what they love to do best: camping by boat. This photo was taken at the end of Pit Lake in the summer of 2004 but it could have been taken anytime in the past 20 years; this is what the men in my family like to do in their spare time to ‘get away from it all’. It is nice to see them happy and worry free.
