From the corporate Studio of Belinda Saed, Mosaic Artist
October 2, 2007

Dear guest,

Last quarter I had an interesting inquiry from a local investment firm. The CEO of this company told me that they had gone through a tremendous growth phase last year, and that they wanted to show sincere appreciation towards their employees.

They were looking for special artwork for the front cover of their annual report, artwork that would be about the organization and its people.

This time it wouldn’t be just the logo or a picture of their office building. It wasn't supposed to look like a stock photo either. Instead, it had to reflect the company values.

The shareholders would see the report, as well as and any other party with in interest in the company's finances. And of course, all the employees would see it too.

So the question was whether I could help out with that, whether I could create a piece of graphic art that reflected this desire of the CEO, to reflect excellent leadership and the great team that makes it happen.

After some exchange of thoughts we came up with the idea to  create a photographic mosaic of the company logo, using literally hundreds of photos showing the company employees at work, in meetings, at their desks, making presentations and so on.

The Impact

This kind of artwork is a basically a large print composed of lots of tiny pictures like mini-thumbnails. These could be pictures of people, products, or other things. The mosaic artwork arranges the tiny pictures in a very particular way, so that it resembles something like the company logo, or a hot new product, or even the main entrance to the corporate building.

People find the visual effect of a mosaic always quite stunning. They want to get closer to see how it works and what it is. They'll examine the tiny photos, and the real impact comes when they find out what those pictures are about. Perhaps it's something comic, or maybe they're even in it themselves!

The mosaic can showcase just about anything that you can capture with a collection of photos. This is what makes it such a powerful and adaptable way to promote any unique idea. Since it’s completely custom artwork, I am able to convey just the message you might have in mind. For some clients it’s all about their employees, for others it’s about their products, customers, or places where they do business, … you name it!

Engaging Front Cover Design

More employees than ever grabbed a copy of the annual report and showed it off at home. Now how often does that happen? These people felt honored and appreciated, by appearing in custom artwork on the cover of their employer’s annual report. And sure, some took the report home because of the bar graphs and pie charts inside... but I'm sure many proudly showed it off to their friends because they were on the cover!

Now, is that a good return on investment? You decide.

What kind of impact would YOU be looking for?

Here’s what your project can look like:

  1. The Occasion. Where would you like to foster some engagement? Would it be at an upcoming event, or perhaps on any of your print work? Maybe you are looking for engaging art at your corporate headquarters?
  2. The Pictures. We will choose and shoot the photos so that they emphasize your most important corporate values. Perhaps you'd like it to be about your people, such as your clients or staff? Imagine the excitement and participation if we asked people to send in a photo, and we'd insert their contribution in your artwork!
  3. The Artwork. When it comes to the artwork we work closely with you. It's important to ensure that your corporate identity is reflected in accordance with your standards so that the artwork will have the impact you are seeking. The purpose could be to attract attention, to engage people, or maybe just to show appreciation and gratitude. Bring your wishes and priorities to the table, and we'll work together to bring out the very corporate values you wish to emphasize.
  4. The delivery. This is the part where I put together the visual effect that you have in mind. I do all the work in the background, while you just basically sit back and leave all the execution over to me. I know you're busy with your own projects, and you have a lot more on your mind than this. This means you will be briefed as needed, and everything will be ready for the day you need it. We have specialized tools and techniques to create the right format for any occasion, whether it’s an impressive high-definition wall-size print for the board room or a trade show, or a digital version for use in advertising or other corporate print work.
  5. The guarantee. I don’t stop until you are completely happy. Together we walk through quality assurance along every step of the way. I make sure every detail is perfect, while you tell me if it’s working out the way you envisioned it. That way I always know what you want, should you change your mind about any part. And you’ll know exactly where I am at, which should put you completely at ease.

The ROI value

First of all, this kind of art puts a personal face on your company because it adds a very friendly and approachable dimension to your identity. Just think of the photos that would be used. What would they be about?

Secondly, the artwork is created with skill and craftsmanship along every step of the way. The professional quality is produced with our exclusive in-house high-resolution graphic tools, and the for the printed artwork we use only most fine and durable materials.

Some of my clients would like to use their own photos, and they wonder whether this kind of quality art is possible with click-and-shoot shots. This is a very good question. A photographic mosaic has character and identity not just because of the quality of the photos, but foremost because of what the photos are about.

Engagement starts when people get curious, and then they want to ask questions, and the answers trigger more questions. When they start to come up with their own conclusions and ideas, you have productive and meaningful engagement.

When the photos have a strong meaning to people, then it doesn’t matter that they are point and shoots. We create this kind of impact with your own photos, with photos from your employees or even your clients and suppliers. The style of this kind artwork gets you attention and engagement. Get the picture?

Here's another example

A client was looking for some artwork for their trade-show booth. They wanted something that reflected the value they create through membership in their association. It had to be about the precise things they facilitate: public awareness, involvement in all aspects of the business community, and networking among hundreds of small and large businesses. At the same time it had to tie in with their corporate image of timeless reliability.

What we came up with was a super large print piece of art for the backdrop of their booth And it reflected their corporate logo. Their logo was by far the most recognizable visual symbol for them, and it contains all the important symbols about the local and international industries they are involved in.

The mosaic was composed of photographs taken throughout several year of events held for their clients. This magnificent artwork showcases the executives their employees and their clients all engaged in their work. The artwork attracted many people to the booth who wanted to know more about what the organization could do for them. And the artwork was an easy conversation starter!

After a year of touring from one show to another the piece is ready to be retired at the corporate headquarters. So many people loved it that it is being prepared to take a prominent and permanent place in their main hallway.

The price

Now I’d like to bring up the price of this kind of investment. You’ll be pleasantly surprised. Our custom corporate artwork starts as low as $1500, and some of the larger managed projects begin with only $5500. Remember, this is completely hands-off, which means that for you there are NO inter-departmental staff costs.

Together we find out what you want, we collect the raw materials, and then we deliver it ready for use.

We know that the project we do for you will be as unique as any of our past projects, which means we work to stick to your budget, we make it easy for you, and we deliver perfection on-time. Our professionalism is guaranteed.

Give me a call and ask me how.
